Rooted in a spirit of collaboration, Intesa—Italian for “understanding”—brings voice and viol together in unique harmony, blending folk and early music traditions from across Europe and Armenia. Their programming explores narrative and self-accompaniment, offering a fresh, moving perspective on historical and cultural repertoire.

Intesa has captivated audiences across the UK and internationally, with sold-out performances at Handel Hendrix House and Fidelio Cafe, festival appearances in Utrecht, Vienna, and New York, and accolades including a Chamber Music Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music and the 2024 Tunnell Trust Award.
