J.S Bach’s 'Coffee Cantata' BWV 211

Vache Baroque - Coffee Baroque
J. S. Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” BWV 211
prefaced with chamber music by Bach and G. P. Telemann

For most of us, the day can only begin once we’ve had that comforting first cup of coffee. The combination of strong aroma, heavy body, and rich flavour (mixed with the magical powers of caffeine) make for the perfect start to any morning. And as a nation of avid coffee lovers, what could be better than a musical ode to our favourite hot drink? Feed your addiction and join us for a coffee-themed show, culminating in J. S. Bach’s Coffee Cantata in a humorous staging by director Laura Attridge.

We’re excited to be reviving our 2021 Coffee Baroque show in partnership with Fidelio Cafe. Audience members are invited to stay after the performance to enjoy delicious food and drinks, courtesy of the Fidelio Cafe team. All tickets also include a complimentary coffee of your choice.
