Each Summer, Garsington Opera gives performances of great artistic quality in its spectacular Opera Pavilion, set within the extraordinary natural beauty of the Chiltern Hills at Wormsley. The Festival presents four operas each year during a seven-week summer period, working in partnership with the Philharmonia Orchestra and The English Concert. The Garsington Opera Chorus are made up of talented young professionals from the Alvarez Emerging Artists’ Programme.

Garsington also offers an award winning community outreach and education programme, GO Participate, and is currently enhancing their Production Arts Traineeships which all fall under the companies Pathways Programme. Garsington Studios, which opened in 2024, has brought all the companies’ activities under one roof, just a stone’s throw away from the Opera Pavilion and provides a home not only for the annual Festival, but for all the year-round activities that Garsington offer.
