This workshop is a unique opportunity to explore stunning music by William Byrd - and Thomas Tallis’ iconic 40-part Spem in alium - singing alongside the members of Ex Cathedra, accompanied by the world-class period instrumentalists of His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts and the Linarol Consort of Renaissance Viols.

Directed by Jeffrey Skidmore, you will gain a wonderful insight into the music that we will perform in the Byrd’s Great concert to celebrate William Byrd’s 400th anniversary at Town Hall on Sunday 5 February - all workshoppers are strongly encouraged to attend the concert too!

The workshop will cater for a broad range of singing experience. There is no minimum standard or experience required, all are welcome and anyone with an interest in music will learn and enjoy the event, but to get the most benefit you will be confident reading music.

Places are limited, so early booking is strongly recommended.
Music will be provided.
The workshop will end at 6pm. Tea and coffee will be provided.
