In the 400th anniversary year of John Dowland’s death, tenor Kieran White joins Republic of Viols for their first collaboration, exploring music of sleep, melancholy and dream-like vision.
Alongside Dowland’s songs, the viol consort performs dances from Dowland’s Lachrimae, interwoven with music by Dowland’s contemporaries and a touch of French air de cour.
