Revered conductor Masaaki Suzuki performs with the Philharmonia Orchestra for the first time.

A leading authority on the authentic performance of music spanning the last five hundred years, Suzuki is best known as the founder of Bach Collegium Japan. He conducts Beethoven's Egmont Overture (with natural trumpets and historical timpani), Schumann's lyrical Cello Concerto with soloist Jean-Guihen Queyras, and Dvořák's radiant Symphony no. 6.
