Across eight centuries of music, this programme moves in cycles through wisdom, memory, childhood, motherhood, and farewell. Song, ancient chant, and folk tradition echo one another across time, woven together by an invisible thread drawn through Emma-Ruth Richards' cycle, which shapes the programme as inhale, suspension, and release.
