I Fagiolini

We’re not Dead Yet

40th Anniversary Concert

We’re not Dead Yet
I Fagiolini celebrates its 40th birthday with 'the best music it knows' from 16th century marvels to music written for them. Introduced by Robert Hollingworth. In November 1986 another student vocal group gave its first concert with an eclectic a cappella mix of Monteverdi, Grieg and the Fairy Liquid jingle. 40 years on Monteverdi has remained a constant and Robert Hollingworth and I Fagiolini have gone on to rethink exactly what a vocal group does, from unstageable a cappella to cross-cultural projects, world premiere recordings, the podcast Choral Chihuahua - and plenty of film.

"a performance packed with riches… the shivery thrill of being totally immersed." The Times
