Full Event Details
Step into the world of Orlando Gibbons — composer, courtier, and one of England’s most luminous musical voices. On the 400th anniversary of his death, this unique concert intertwines sacred anthems, madrigals, consort songs and viol music with the voice of Gibbons himself, brought to life by actor Richard Ritchie. In the splendour of Douai Abbey, the evening will showcase works by Orlando and Edward Gibbons, Byrd, Dowland, Ferrabosco, and the World Premiere of Tota pulchra es, a modern reimagining of Gibbons’ Faire is the Rose by Anthony Dowlatshahi.
