French Baroque Lute Recital

French Baroque Lute Recital
At its quarterly London meeting The Lute Society gives a long-overdue welcome to one of today’s leading players, Eduardo Eguez, who, besides performing the final recital of French baroque lute music, will give guidance on the vital question of making our phrasing more convincing. Most of the rest of the day will be a music feast, pure simple, with an emphasis on youth, with mini-recitals from Mateo Benjamin, Jumbo Porras, Christine Gebs (who will also share some of the insights of her research into musical current and influences) and a young mystery guest artist, to play music from the Dlugoraj lute book. Bill Carter will play German baroque music on a Michael Lowe lute.

Free admission from 11.00 am, all welcome; tickets only for the final recital.
