Lowe Ensemble (five sibling instrumentalists): Viva Vivaldi! A programme celebrating the exuberance and brilliance of Antonio Vivaldi, one of the most influential composers of the Baroque era. This all-Vivaldi programme showcases the vitality and virtuosity of his music, as performed by Lowe Ensemble, comprised of five talented siblings with British and Spanish roots. Minerva Baroque (soprano and instrumental trio): Handel in Rome Exploring formative Italian influences with excerpts from Handel’s pastoral cantata Aminta e Fillide alongside music by composers among whom Handel lived, including Scarlatti. Dani O’Neill soprano May Robertson violin TBC cello Callum Anderson harpsichord
Nocturnalia Ensemble (baroque trio): Olea Mediterranea A new programme linking the Festival theme of Connections with the Mediterranean sonata and including the world premiere in modern times of an anonymous Fandango found in Madrid. Mojca Jerman violin Pablo Tejedor-Gutiérrez cello Alex Mastichiadis harpsichord
Triple Fipple (recorder ensemble): In Search of Sunlight A programme travelling from England, through France and Belgium to northern Italy, mixing melancholic shadows with bright celebrations and including music by Gibbons, Josquin and Ciconia. Kate Bingham, Larli Davies & Hannah Parry recorders
