Album Launch Concert

featuring Mariana Rodrigues (soprano)

Album Launch Concert

continuo logoSupported by a grant from Continuo Foundation

In 2026, The Royal Sackbut Collective embarked on its most ambitious project so far: the recording and release of its first album. Three intense days at Christ’s Church, Chelsea, brought together a varied collection of pieces that, as a whole, aim to showcase everything that the sackbut can do as an instrument.

A few months later, and as proud recipients of a grant by Continuo Foundation, the group is ready to introduce its work to a live audience. It promises to be a unique concert, including music from many different centuries and cultures and exploring the artistic limits of the sackbut ensemble.

The programme will include collaborations with soprano Mariana Rodrigues, innovative performances by standards of the Early Baroque repertoire, a piece that dates back to the Bronze Age and a never-before performed or recorded work by Marc’Antonio Ingegneri, Monteverdi’s teacher.

The Royal Sackbut Collective is extremely excited to welcome you to this concert and hopes that you can join the group in a very special evening!
