The Bach family was a veritable dynasty in the musical landscape of 17th- and 18th-century Germany, spanning several generations and regions of the country. Johann Sebastian Bach is naturally the most famous, but the accomplishments of his uncles, nephews, sons and daughters are quite difficult to outshine, even with the enormous weight of Johann's vast legacy.
