Beethoven Haydn Schubert

The Hanover Band returns to Cadogan Hall with a celebration of four great Classical and Romantic masters. Beethoven's dramatic Coriolan Overture opens the programme, followed by the youthful elegance of Mozart's Symphony No. 5. A highlight is Haydn's Trumpet Concerto, performed by internationally acclaimed trumpeter David Blackadder on a period instrument – a rare chance to hear the work as Haydn may have imagined it.

The concert concludes with Schubert's Symphony No. 9, 'The Great', in C major, whose expansive vision helped shape the future of orchestral music.
