Allegri, Palestrina & Masters of the Sistine Chapel
A gorgeous programme of music written for the Sistine Chapel, including work by just a few of the great composers who lived, studied and worked in Rome. Palestrina is represented here by a stunning mass in honour of the Virgin Mary, along with the Spaniard Victoria and the Flemish Lassus both of whom spent significant time in Rome, plus Allegri’s great Miserere.
