Stile Antico

A Spanish Nativity

A Spanish Nativity
An irresistible mix of sumptuous Christmas polyphony and joyful folk influences from the sensual world of Renaissance Spain.

At Christmas time in renaissance Spain, they didn’t just sing – they danced, too, in celebrations that brought sacred ritual and everyday song into exuberant, life-affirming harmony. In a Christmas concert like no other, Stile Antico weaves a garland of sumptuous polyphony and infectiously joyful folk dances. Luminous devotional music by Victoria and Morales jostles with beautiful Christmas songs, a colourful retelling of the Epiphany, and classic villancicos – Spain’s answer to the traditional carol. “The singing is staggeringly beautiful” said the Sunday Times, and there’s a chance to meet the singers afterwards, too.

  • date Thu, 4 December 2025

  • time 7:30pm
  • ticket £10 - £35
