The Mosaic Suite
What better than to celebrate the Spring's beginning, International Early Music Day and the birthday of JS Bach? For any musician, all these interlinked events are a wonderful occasion to remind ourselves of why we play this beautiful music and to share the wonderful joy of playing the Early Music repertoire. And in my case, as a cellist, what else could I play other than Bach's cello suites to pay homage to his musicianship? I have selected different dances from suites 1, 3 and 4 to create a "mosaic suite" that can honour this moment and share a glimpse of this outstanding universe with the audience.
