Viola da gamba player Sarah Small returns to Lindisfarne to give a recital as part of the Re-Breathe Festival, Holy Island.

Through extensive touring by bicycle to reach audiences, exposed to the extremes of weather and with eyes open to the rapidly changing landscapes, Sarah shares a programme reflecting the places she's visited where land and life are fading away as a result of human-caused climate change. Including original compositions, each piece reflects the rich past life, present emptiness, and glimmers of a return to flourishing if we take action now.
You can expect a unique programme influenced by the sounds of the wild, traditional folk melodies from around the British Isles, and French Baroque elements that showcase the beguiling character of the viola da gamba.
