Rune

A Merveillous Swevene

Dreams and Visions

A Merveillous Swevene
Rune explores one of the great medieval obsessions: dreams and visions.

Songs of dreams and visions are interwoven with readings from fourteenth-century English dream poems, illuminating some of the recurrent scenes and motifs in this rich tradition. This programme reveals the close intertwining of sacred and secular thought and a dialogue between literature and music that invites modern listeners to reflect on what the subconscious may still be trying to tell us.

Doors open from 18:00, and the bar will be open to purchase refreshments.

  • date Fri, 10 April 2026
  • location St Bartholomew the Great, London
  • time 7:00pm
  • ticket £15 (u12s free)
