Monteverdi's madrigals (from around 1600) are impossibly perfect miniatures – five-voiced mini dramas that carry a surprising amount of musical weight. Spend a morning exploring them (and one contemporary classic from England) in the company of Robert Hollingworth, director of I Fagiolini and co-founder of the podcast Choral Chihuahua.
This is a workshop for experienced singers who can read music. The scores will be sent to you in advance. Tickets include refreshments.
