Republic of Viols presents Dowland's monument of Renaissance music, his Lachrimae, in this, the 400th anniversary year of his death. Interspersed with selections of the dances (in his own words: 'diverse other pavans, galliards and allemands') that sit alongside the Lachrimae in his 1604 publication. As well as consort songs of the time sung by the marvellous Rebecca Hardwick.
