Red Priest Strings with Piers Adams

Truly Madly Baroque

Truly Madly Baroque
Red Priest have been at the cutting edge of Baroque music performance for over a quarter of a century and have delighted audiences worldwide with their theatrical and high-energy presentation. Humour is rarely absent from their work (the titles of many of their recorded albums make punning references to well-known rock and pop releases, 'Handel in the Wind' being a prime example), but this never detracts from the virtuosity of these four supremely talented musicians. They spent years selling out concert halls in North America and Europe, and now they are coming to Mayfield. Don’t miss out.

This concert will feature works by, amongst others, Bach, Corelli, Handel, Telemann and the original Red Priest, Vivaldi.

“For sheer technical wizardry, charismatic showmanship and expressive devilment, Red Priest is in an exhilarating class of its own.” - BBC Music Magazine

This concert is kindly sponsored by Handelsbanken.
