Otto Hashmi
A Live Premiere of 'Eight ricercate after giovanni bassano'

Alongside collaborators including Jocelyn Campbell (phonewifey), Leo Chadburn, Thomas Shorthouse, Larli Davies, Ozgur Kaya; Bassano's 16th-century eight ricercate are reimagined and recontextualised, reflecting on what it really means to perform historical material in our modern times, and how much of that original essence translates to our contemporary consumption and experience of melody.
This performance is a radical reclamation of historical repertoire with usage of electronics, short moments of strobe lighting, and disregard for standard historical performance convention. Physical copies of the album will be available for purchase at the event, supported by serpentine.iii label.
