A rare opportunity to hear two spectacular and historically important English Viols from 1675 and 1703, played together live in concert.

Newe Vialles are returning to Culmstock to perform pieces from their recent CD release, Newe Vialles - Old Viols, which explores the music that the original owners of these viols might have known and played. The concert includes works by Christoper Simpson, John Jenkins, Benjamin Hely, Nicola Matteis and others, plus Newe Vialles' own arrangements of popular melodies of the time. The sound of the two original viols is enhanced by a vibrant and colourful continuo section of theorbo and baroque guitar.
