Featuring original English viols by Edward Lewis (1703) and John Pitts (1675), this programme explores the music that their original owners might have played.

Featuring dances and divisions by John Jenkins, Christopher Simpson, William Young and Daniel Norcombe alongside the latest sonatas by Benjamin Hely (d. 1699) and their own arrangements of popular melodies from publications by John Playford.

Newe Vialles are joined by James Akers on baroque guitar and Lynda Sayce on theorbo, creating a rich sound world which brings this vivid music to life.
