Dr Helen Roberts, cornettist and founder of Musicke's Measure, brings her rarely heard instrument to SNEMF for the first time since the festival restarted in 2021.
She is joined by musicians familiar to SNEMF audiences: soprano Zoe Brookshaw, harpist Aileen Henry and lutenist Toby Carr. With this enchanting combination of sounds, Musicke's Measure brings music from 17th-century Italy to the beautiful acoustic and surroundings of Abney Park Chapel.
