Verdi's Requiem
Verdi poured all his skill into depicting the extremes of human emotion in his Requiem. Already the grand master of Italian opera, he borrowed his experience dramatising heartache, grandeur, violence and intense beauty to create perhaps the most iconic of all requiems. Hold onto your seats as Cheltenham Bach Choir, a huge period-instrument orchestra of on and offstage musicians and an all-star lineup of soloists raise the Town Hall roof.
