Haydn and Mozart

One of the world's leading period-instrument string quartets, The London Haydn Quartet, was born out of a passion for Haydn. They have received invitations to many of the most important concert series all over the world, and their recordings of Haydn's quartets on the Hyperion label are internationally acclaimed.

They bring to Edinburgh two landmarks of the Classical string quartet repertoire: Haydn's joyful Quartet Op. 54 No. 5, and Mozart's sublime Quintet in D, with violist Daniel Cubero.
