Bach to Folk
An exciting collaboration between Scandinavian folk music stars Erik Rydvall and Olav Mjelva and British-German violin virtuoso Max Baillie, Lodestar combines the Swedish nyckelharpa and Norwegian hardanger fiddle with the violin. In this unique programme they bring a spirit of groove and improvisation to Baroque music with their own reimagined versions of music by Bach, Couperin, Lully and Merula plus traditional and contemporary Nordic tunes.
