The Linarol Consort of Viols tells the story of a truly dramatic event: a shipwreck that led to a chance meeting between Henry VII of England and Philip the Handsome of Burgundy. They are joined by celebrated tenor James Gilchrist and soprano Héloïse Bernard to perform a programme following the story of the adventure and including music by three composers who were on the voyage with Philip (Pierre de la Rue, Marbrianus de Orto and Johannes de Stokem) as well as Josquin des Prez and Henry VIII.
