Full Event Details
For the first in their summer programmes of music for the French Baroque, Leeds Baroque Choir, directed by Peter Holman, return to the picturesque village of Kildwick in Craven and the historic church of St Andrew. The choir is joined by the viol players Louise Jameson and Mark Caudle (treble viols) and Andrew Kerr (bass viol) for a programme featuring the music written by Charpentier for the chapel of his patron Marie de Lorraine, Duchesse de Guise. Works will include the Miserere H193, in the original version with two treble viols and continuo, the Litanies de la Vierge H83 and Annunicate superi H333.
