Chiaroscuro

The Cardiff-based duo will start our festival’s second day with this atmospheric concert of Renaissance music. Joelene’s wonderful soprano voice will be complemented by Scott’s lute in this exciting programme of French, Italian and Spanish songs.

To help audiences experience how the Mediterranean Sea was a hub of cultural exchange throughout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, this concert will take us through a wealth of songs in different languages, highlighting common themes, sounds and styles.
