Gabrieli Roar presents Dido & Aeneas
Join Paul McCreesh and Gabrieli Roar for a super-sized performance of Purcell’s famous hour-long opera, Dido and Aeneas, at the Nevill Holt Opera this July.

In collaboration with The David Ross Foundation, Gabrieli Roar will perform this Trojan story of love and betrayal, royal duty and warfare. 120 secondary school students from the David Ross Educational Trust will be joined by Gabrieli’s world-class professional musicians, with mezzo-soprano Bethany Horak-Hallett in the title role and conducted by Paul McCreesh.

This project is part of Roar Evolve, our programme designed to engage young people who already have some experience of singing, giving them the chance to sing side-by-side with professional musicians, an orchestra and world-class soloists.
