When a young Johan Helmich Roman left Sweden for London in 1715, he was but one of many Swedes to seek their fortune in foreign lands. While Roman later returned north, Johan Agrell did not. Having travelled extensively, he successfully ended his days as Kapellmeister in the German city of Nuremberg. Others, like German composer Joseph Martin Kraus, made their way from the continent to Sweden and made enormous contributions to Swedish musical life.

Join us in the stunning environment of Ulrika Eleonora Church for a Grand Tour of the most magical Swedish 18th century repertoire!
