To celebrate the feast day of St Cecilia (patron saint of music), Fiori presents the first ever public performance of Quirino Colombani’s Oratorio di Santa Cecilia, written for Rome in 1701. This exciting performance takes place in the beautiful church of St Mary the Virgin, adjacent to the chapel where the tombs of the ancestors of the Spencer family lie.

St Cecilia has been the Patron Saint of Music since the 16th century, and over the years many composers have feted her (including Henry Purcell and Benjamin Britten).
