Mozart Clarinet Quintet

Joining Fiori for this concert is renowned classical clarinet specialist Colin Lawson – Mozart expert and, until recently, head of the Royal College of Music.

This is Mozart at his finest – and, to contrast, the programme also includes music by Mozart's favourite clarinettist, Anton Stadler, as well as a clarinet quartet by his pupil, Johann Nepomuk Hummel.

Colin Lawson plays on a basset clarinet – the instrument these composers wrote for!
