Advent Candlelight Concert

An atmospheric Advent candlelight concert.

Hauntingly beautiful, reflective music for the season before Christmas, performed in the lovely late 13th-century church at Grafton Underwood, a place noted for its stunning new Thomas Denny stained glass windows.

Beautiful 18th-century music for baroque oboe and trumpet with voices and organ, including chorale preludes by the great JS Bach, as well as music by his contemporary Georg Kauffmann (Bach's rival for the post of Kapellmeister in Leipzig) and his pupils Ludwig Krebs and Gottfried Homilius.
