Continuo Connect — Concert // Ensemble Pampinea: Boccaccio's Decameron

In Boccacio's Decameron, Pampinea, the protagonist, seeks refuge in a secluded villa on the outskirts of Florence with nine friends, in facing the threat of the black death. When the sun is high, there is no better way to pass the time than in the shade of a blossoming garden, telling stories... During the ten days of quarantine, they assemble a hundred stories that range from erotic to tragic, and each imparts a lesson to the audience. The variety of stories will be reflected in the Florentine Trecento repertoire that will be performed with recorder, pipe and tabor, and organetto.
