Full Event Details
The biblical cantatas of Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre are extraordinary historical jewels. Written by a woman, about women and for women, they tell bold, unflinching tales about love, marriage, tragedy and adultery. These breath-taking miniatures – telling the stories of Susanne, Rachel & Judith – have never before been staged in the UK; now, produced in new English translations by Toria Banks, they champion the ability of women to tell their own stories and narrate their own experiences.
Available to watch on demand from Friday 15 December 2.00pm – Wednesday 31 January.
