In collaboration with Sands Films Studios, Hex are joined by David Wright to present the sixth and final part of their series 'Festival of the Sun King':

In the French court the way you danced could change your life. Expect lively gavottes, elegant courants, sorrowful sarabands, sultry loures, toe tapping gigues and maybe even a clog dance. In a concert twinned with the iconic film 'Le Roi Danse', Hex perform the dance music of the French court and those of the lavish operatic spectacles. Featuring suites written by the film's protagonist Jean Baptist Lully, Marais’ infamous Grand Ballet - perhaps a metaphor for the complexity and danger of court life - and Rebel’s 'Caracteres de la Danse' a show piece for the most virtuosic dancers to show off their mastery of every style.
