The Power of Three

The Power of Three
Welcome back to this ‘vivacious group’ (Observer) performing the music of Bach, Handel and Telemann. The three composers knew and admired each other’s work. The Power of Three features their trio sonatas, offering a world of different styles from different musical influences, with the harpsichord here providing the bass line.

Handel – Sinfonia in B flat major, HWV339
J S Bach – Trio Sonata in C minor, BWV526
Telemann – Trio Sonata in E flat major from Tafelmusik, TWV 42:Es1

Telemann – Trio Sonata in D major TWV42:D10

Handel – Trio Sonata in G major op.5 no.4, HWV399
