Sounds of Summer

Baroque & Beyond

continuo logoSupported by a grant from Continuo Foundation

Do you like live music? Here is the chance to kick back, enjoy a live performance of classical music on a variety of instruments and then chat to the performers over tea and cake (included in the ticket price).

Experts from Baroque In The North will introduce each piece in this hour-long performance. Suitable for all ages, the Church of the Immaculate Conception is wheelchair accessible with car parking across the road. There will be space for children to draw or dance as the mood takes them. The music will include works by well-known composers as well as a few surprises. And you will have the chance to hear harpsichord, violin, cello, recorder and 18th-century French bagpipes (!).

Baroque & Beyond is a project initiative of Baroque In The North, a Manchester-based performing arts charity specialising in music from the 16th-18th centuries, played on period instruments.
