Setting the Scene: Lute Music in England Before Dowland

Augustin Cornwall-Irving is a lute, guitar and theorbo player from London who has performed both as a soloist and in various ensembles.

Augustin will be performing lute music from English manuscripts in the decade leading up to Dowland’s time, including continental composers known in England alongside John Johnson, Francis Cutting and Anthony Holborne.
