Double Bach, Two Harpsichords!

The Baroque Encounter series, created by harpsichordist Asako Ogawa, introduces Baroque music to children and younger audiences while appealing to all generations. Each event includes a short workshop and a children’s concert, alongside programmes that combine well-known and lesser-known works, delivering the beauty and excitement of baroque music to the audience.

The first concert focuses on the dynamic and expressive sonority of the harpsichord. In the workshop, children will explore two different instruments and have the opportunity to try them for themselves. The programme aims to dispel the myth that the harpsichord cannot produce dynamic contrast.
