Organ music of the Spanish Golden Age (1492-c1680) is noted for its dramatic musical language and colour. Pieces range from simple liturgical versets to extraordinary Battle Scenes, depicting the fight between Good and Evil - or perhaps, the Spanish and the Muslim armies of al-Andalus during the centuries leading up to the 1492 Reconquista.
Composers will include Antonio de Cabezón, Francisco Correa de Arauxo, Sebastián Aguilera de Heredia, Pablo Bruna Pedro de Araújo, Sebastián Durón and Juan Cabanilles.
