Bruegel Consort

An Early Tudor Christmas

An Early Tudor Christmas
Join the Bruegel Consort for an evening of exquisite early Tudor sacred music associated with Christmas and its surrounding feast days

Although only a handful of works associated with Christmas survives from early Tudor England, this significant celebration inspired some of the most intricate and extravagant polyphony of the period.

Our programme will include works by Walter Lambe, Thomas Packe, Nicholas Ludford and Robert Fayrfax, favoured composer of both Henry VII and Henry VIII. For more details about the programme, head to our website!
