In this anniversary year marking 400 years since his death, join us for a carefully selected programme of Orlando Gibbons’ works, from well-loved classics of English church music through to wistful madrigals.

From Gibbons’ sacred repertoire, our programme includes the two great anthems Hosanna to the Son of David and This is the Record of John, as well as the Magnificat from the Short Service and the ever-popular O clap your hands. We will also perform some of his madrigals, such as The Silver Swan and What is Our Life?, set to text by Sir Walter Raleigh.

Chandos is delighted to collaborate with the renowned Chelys Consort of Viols to present this exquisite music.
