Vorhalt Ensemble
Vorhalt Ensemble is a new and exciting London-based chamber ensemble bringing together students and recent graduates from leading universities and conservatoires. Featuring award-winning musicians, the ensemble is dedicated to 17th- and 18th-century German and Italian repertoire, uniting singers and period instrumentalists.
Although the works of J.S. Bach are inevitably at the centre of many programmes, the revival of underperformed or lost works by other composers are an essential part of the ensemble's identity.
Vorhalt Ensemble is pleased to be the Ensemble in Residence at St James’s Church, Sussex Gardens. Performances are held here three times per year thanks to the generosity of the Director of Music and the vicars.
