Violana Ensemble
Violana Ensemble was founded in 2024 by three young musicians at the Royal Academy of Music, brought together by a shared passion for historically informed performance. Specialising in chamber music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the ensemble has been praised for its expressive, imaginative interpretations and technical command.

In its founding year, the ensemble won first prize at the Nancy Nuttall Early Music Competition with a performance of Telemann Cantatas, and was subsequently invited to perform in the masterclass at the London Handel Festival in March 2025. They have given performances at venues across London and the UK, including St George’s Hanover Square, Duke's Hall, and Waddesdon Manor.

The ensemble made its debut recording at Abbey Road Studios in July 2025. With a commitment to historical research and stylistic authenticity, Violana Ensemble combines scholarly insight with vibrant artistry to breathe new life into both celebrated and seldom-heard works.
