Taverner Consort and Players

Taverner Consort and Players
Founded by Andrew Parrott in 1973, the Taverner Choir slowly grew to become the Taverner Choir, Consort and Players. As pioneering specialists in a wide range of music from before Mozart et al the group soon became a major performing and recording presence in the classical music world. At all stages the group's music-making has aimed to take account of up-to-date scholarship, and not least that of Parrott’s own groundbreaking research.
